Kate had slept fitfully during the night. At one point they had talked about how to keep her hands still during a nightmare, keep her from injuring herself further. Her wrists were already hurting from being bound so the only thing they'd been able to do was have Alexis hold one hand and Castle the other all night long. She wore a gauze bandage at her throat where she'd scratched herself so violently during one of the nightmares that she'd finally started bleeding. No one had gotten more than an hour of sleep, here or there, throughout the night. Martha was already up making a list of what they would need for the cabin. She'd thought about breakfast and coffee, but she wasn't sure anyone felt like eating and didn't want Kate to wake up when she smelled the coffee.
