(ok)
Natalia followed Lina's line of sight and saw someone outside. "Stay here and get your dad." She walked to the door and started to tell the guy to leave.

Horatio came outside to stand with Natalia. Neither noticed Lina slip out the back. Kaya noticed her parents standing at the door and heard the dog cry. She went to investigate. Natalia saw Kaya from the corner of her eye. "Kaya, go inside please."
"Both of you go inside," Horatio said, not wanting either of them to be hurt.
Natalia stepped closer to her husband. "No way. Lina is my family."
"Kaya. Inside. Now." Horatio told his daughter. If he couldn't keep Natalia safe; he was going to keep Kaya from seeing anything that might happen. "Go in Lina's room and close the door. Don't open it until one of us comes for you. Right now, please, sweetheart." Kaya scowled, but did as she was told.
With all the talking, no one had thought to wonder where Lina was until she was in the yard with Jonathon.
Natalia gasped. "Lina, get away from him!"
"Jonathon, put my dog down. Let him go. Please." Lina spoke softly, slowly, like her father often did when talking to someone hurt or cornered by an unhinged suspect.
"Why? It got your attention."
"He didn't hurt you. He's hurt. He's afraid. You have my attention. Let him go."
Jonathon gave a wicked grin. "No."
"Please. You wanted to talk. You have my attention. Let's talk."
"Fine." He threw the dog down at his feet.
The dog yipped and then growled at him. "No." She said sharply. "Go inside. Go find Kaya." The dog growled again. Jonathon backed away from the menacing dog. "Go inside. Go." The dog finally obeyed and Lina turned to leave.
"You said we could talk."
She jerked loose from him. "What do you want to talk about?"
"Take me back."
"I can't do that. You cannot be my patient anymore."
"Why not?"
"I can't help you."
"Yes, you can."
"I can't help you," she said again, turning to go.
Jonathon moved to grab her and Horatio stepped in. "Leave her alone."
Jonathon did the opposite of what Horatio had wanted, pulling Lina against him, brandishing a knife.

Natalia quickly took acts, angry that her friend was in danger. She whipped out her gun, seeing Ryan move quietly behind Jonathon.
"Let her go," shouted Natalia to keep him distracted.

The slice across the neck was quick, so quick that it wasn't as deep as he'd wanted. There was blood all right, a lot, but it wasn't deep enough to stop her breathing. She fell to the ground all the same, playing dead, hearing three gunshots.

Horatio waited until Jonathon dropped and then ran to his daughter.
"Lina? Lina?"

As hard as it was for him, Ryan went to Jonathon first, making sure he was dead. Crying could be heard from inside the house.

Natalia ran to the door and found Kaya watching the scene. She picked up her daughter and cuddled her.

All Kaya would say was 'Lina' as she rocked back and forth in her mother's arms.

"Is she...?" Ryan asked, looking over at the blood.

"Alive, but needing medical attention. Get an ambulance." Horatio put all of his strength into keeping his daughter alive.
"Mummy, Aunt Lina...." Kaya pointed at her sister. "Help her, me..."

"Daddy and Uncle Ryan are helping her, sweetheart." Natalia whispered, calling 911 as Lina's injured dog curled into Kaya as if they were scared too.

Kaya continued to sob into her mother's chest, absently patting the dog at the same time.

Ryan ran in for towels, not having to ask where they were, just grabbing them and taking them to Horatio along with a blanket and a couch pillow to keep her from going into shock. It was obvious from his eyes that he was terrified.

Horatio watched as Ryan gently covered Lina, the obvious finally being realised. His little girl had a boyfriend.
"Nat called 911. They should be on their way. Kaya saw." Ryan spoke as if telegraphing a message, short, to the point.
Horatio stared in shock at Ryan. He looked over his shoulder and saw his younger daughter crying in Natalia's arms, and anger overwhelmed him. He stood, glaring at Jonathon.
"Ryan, take care of my angel. I have business to take care of."
Ryan nodded, holding Lina's hand, whispering to her, trying to comfort her. She was trying desperately to speak but it only caused more pain, more blood. "Please stop, baby. We'll talk later. Please stop," he whispered, trying to smile for her.
