For possibly the first time in his adult life, he was speechless. He kissed her head and smiled as he gently stroked his baby girl's arm. He heard something about getting them to the hospital and looked around for his mom. "You'll meet us there?" A silent plea was sent out for her to take care of Alexis, knowing he needed to focus, at least momentarily, on Kate and the baby.

"Love you both," he said before getting into the ambulance with Kate and Lanie. As the doors closed, he couldn't help but think of the last time he'd been in the ambulance with these same women, but now he had a brand new one to spoil and to drive him crazy. "Hey, sweetheart," he whispered gently, smiling at his daughter.

The baby in Castle's arms made a happy, gurgling sound, waking Kate from her sleep.
"Rick? Where's Alexis and Martha?" asked Kate quietly. "What should we call her?"
