"Yeah, baby, I'm okay. Just tired." She accepted a gentle hug from Natalia and a kiss to her forehead from her dad, but her attention was on Kaya. "I'll be home soon. Not today, probably not tomorrow, but soon. Can I get a raincheck on our sleepover?"

(had an idea for a story after this one since I think we're just about through. maybe rework the finale? either have cal pregnant again or unsure about a diagnosis, eric's helping her. either have ryan interested in sam or trying to help her & lina's trying to deal with that. maybe even get into nat's protectiveness over the lab and over ryan, what prompts h to come at the end? I think we've talked about this before but I don't remember ever doing it.)
