"Tell you what. Why don't we let Ryan go in first? Your mom and I will go in with you in a minute, okay?" He nodded at Ryan, picking up the grateful look the other man shot him. He could tell Ryan wanted a few minutes of alone time with Lina and knew it would be hard to get Kaya out later.

Horatio nodded at Ryan who went inside. It looked like Lina was sleeping at first and her usually tanned skin looked pale. It bothered him to see her still and he was worried about Kaya seeing her this way until she opened her eyes. "Hey," she whispered, almost unheard.
