Kensi helped Callen into the car and then put Alina securely into her car seat, making sure the baby was strapped in tightly in case anything happened.

KC kissed her daughter's head, putting her favorite toy closer to her. She'd never been so scared in her life and wanted so badly to be going with her family or to ask Kensi to stay. Both were impossible. "Mommy loves you so much, baby. Be a good girl for Aunt Kensi and Daddy, okay?" She knew she wouldn't get a verbal response but she did get a smile.
