Castle stepped in, hating to see his friends argue. "Kate will kill anyone that hurts that girl, even if it is for her. So, Ryan can go help Gates. Espo and I can watch and decide on how to deal with her when Gates is done."

Espo knew she was right. He just didn't want to admit it. He wanted to protect Kate, especially after everything she always did with him.
