"I can't believe mum would do that. She's really messed up this time."
"Dad's taking care of her," Lina promised him.
"Good. I hate when she does this. I'm really sorry Lina."
"It's not your fault, Kyle. C'mon. Let's go find Kaya for Natalia, okay?"
"Okay. I can't wait to see my little sister. I actually miss her."
"Of course." She was crazy about the little girl.
Kyle followed Lina to her car. Natalia joined them as Calleigh went to check on the boys.
Kaya was just walking out of the school gate when she saw three of her favourite people standing there. "Mum! Lina, Kyle!" She ran to them.
Natalia held her daughter close, unable to let her go.
"What happened? Mum? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Kaya was only eight years old; she wanted to protect her as much as she could.
"Promise mum? Where's daddy?"
"He's helping Kyle's mom," Lina told her gently.
"Oh. Kyle, I missed you!"
"Missed you too, squirt." Kyle told her.
"Are you coming over?"
He looked at Natalia.
"Of course you can. But Kay, you still have to do your homework. Okay?"
"Okay mummy."
Horatio was grateful when Tripp finally took Julia into custody. His friend was the only one he trusted with her right now.
"Want me to charge her?" Frank asked.
He looked at Julia. "It's up to you. You can go somewhere safe, where they can help you, or you can go to jail. I can't just let you leave."
"Get stuffed."
"Charge her."
"Got it."
