He's taken complete responsibility for Kyle and for Julia so he blames himself for her doing that to anyone, especially Lina and me. So he's going to be overprotective for awhile. "I know that, Ryan. I've always known that." She smiled for him. She was so grateful after all the time with Nick not only to have a better relationship with her biological family but to have gotten Horatio, Eric, Calleigh, Lina, and Ryan, now Kyle as well.
