She called Calleigh's cell phone instead, involuntarily smiling when she heard her friend's perky Southern accent pick up. "Hey. It's me."

"Thanks. Wow. News travels fast." She wasn't all that surprised though. Calleigh, Eric, and their Mari was as much a member of the family as Natalia and Kaya. "I was wondering...Do you have time to come over tonight? Help us process through what we need to do next?"

"Of course. I'll be there soon. I have some stuff here that doesn't fit Mari anymore. Do you want me to bring them?"

"Please." She walked slightly away, making sure Ryan couldn't hear. "And Cal? Could Eric come too? I think Ryan could use someone to talk to."

"Thanks, Cal." She said before hanging up.
Calleigh called Eric into the room. "Get Mari ready. We'll drop her at Nat's and then head to Lina's place to help her."
He nodded, going to get their daughter ready and excited to go spend time with her adopted grandparents. Calleigh moved around the house, collecting some of Mari's old clothes and toys. She also grabbed some baby bottles and dummies she hadn't used for Mari. Eric had Mari packed and ready by the time that Calleigh finished gathering.
"Let's go. Mari, would you like a sleepover with Kaya?"
"Natti."
"Yeah, baby. Natti's with KK. Poppy too."
Mari considered this and then nodded to her mother's question.
"Okay, I'll ask Natti."
"LiLi has a new baby girl. When she gets older, Mari can play with her," Eric told his daughter.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. You'll get to play with her like KK gets to play with you."
Mari grinned. ****** Soon they were at Natalia and Horatio's. Eric lifted his daughter out of her seat, but before he could carry her anywhere Kaya was at his side.
"Hey honey," said Calleigh. "How are you?"
"Hi, Aunt Calleigh," Kaya answered respectfully before taking Mari from Eric.
Mari took Kaya's hand and ran inside with her, leaving the two adults laughing.
Natalia laughed, shaking her head as she came out to get Mari's bag.
"Nat, can Mari stay the night?"
"Of course. Any time." She didn't even have to ask Horatio, knowing his answer would be the same. "You guys okay?"
"Yeah. Lina needs some help. She's stressing. I offered to bring her some stuff for the baby that Mari doesn't need anymore."
"Yeah, I got them a few things today, but I thought she might want to pick out what she needed." She had long since given away Kaya's baby things.
"Fair enough. If Mari needs us, call."
"Of course. We've got her. Don't worry." She went back in the house with the girls.
Calleigh silently thanked her lucky stars that she had such good family.
"She'll be fine, babe." Eric knew he didn't have to tell Calleigh that. The only hands better for their little girl to be in would be their own and that was even up for debate.
"I know."

"I'm confused, I don't know how to look after a baby."

Eric smiled. "You think I did? You learn. It's a work in progress. It's the scariest and best thing you'll ever do, at least it has been for me."
