He arrived just moments before the admiral.

Mac was worried when their boss got out of the car and Grace didn't.

Harm did as well but tried not to show it, even as the other man was coming into the room.

"Admiral, is there a problem?" Mac asked.
"Yes. And I don't like that Grace wants to fix it this time."

"Gracie?" Harm used her nickname, worried about the woman he'd adopted as a sister. "What happened?" He had a bad feeling in his stomach that he knew.
"Commander Krennick dropped by earlier, gave us a stupid story about how you hurt her, blah blah blah. Grace believes it I think, or at least parts of it and she wanted to help."
Harm couldn't believe that Grace would ever believe that story. "It doesn't make sense. I mean, Grace would do anything for almost anybody, but...it just doesn't make sense."
"She took her home. I wanted to go with her, but she wouldn't let me."
Harm almost spewed out the coffee Mac had just offered him. "She did what?"
"She doesn't know Krennick like we do Harm," said Mac. "Let's go get her Admiral."
"No, Sarah. You stay here. We'll bring her back," Harm answered.
"Like hell I'm staying here! She's my best friend, do not ever tell me to stay behind!"
He looked into Mac's eyes. "She was being rude at the restaurant. I've seen her be worse than that. She's a snake in the grass and she's got Grace already. Do not ask me to be okay with you being in danger."
"I'm not afraid of her Harmon. I am going to get my best friend, whether you like it or not."
"Of all the damned foolish things you ever did..." He started.
"I don't give a crap right now. I won't stay here and let that bitch hurt Grace!"
He looked at the admiral. "Tell her she's not going."
AJ shook his head. "I'm not getting into this. Grace is going to kill me as it is."
Harm went out, downstairs, to wait. Mac took a deep breath. She grabbed her jacket again and followed AJ out. Harm sat in the back, letting Mac sit in the front. AJ drove out to Krennick's address and groaned. He could see that Grace's car was still there.
"Have you given any thought to how we're going to do this, sir?" Harm asked. "If Grace is free to go, then we're just stirring a hornet's nest more. If she's not, then we can't very well go up to the door and demand her back."
"She doesn't know Mac. She can go knock and ask for help or something."
"She does. She was at the restaurant tonight."
"She only knows of me. She doesn't know anything about me. I could be her neighbour for all she knows."
"I don't like it, but I don't have a better idea. If she tries anything, I'm going in. She gets one chance and I'm not sure she should get that."
"Okay." Mac got out and headed toward the front door. She knocked, ready to ask for some help when Krennick answered.
Krennick wasn't stupid and Grace wasn't visible. "What are YOU doing here?"
"Hi, I need some help. I'm a little lost."
"I just bet you are. Does Harm think I'm stupid? Or is he just that desperate?"
"Harm isn't here. I just moved in around the corner. You're the only one home right now and I really could use help."
Suddenly Krennick's mood changed and she let her in. "I'm sorry. I'm just...I'm so upset. I'm not thinking straight."
"It's okay. I was a little rude at the restuarant anyway."
"No, it's okay. I know what he can do to you. He's just horrible. We used to be engaged and he just broke my heart one too many times. I finally got my nerve up and left him."
"That sounds horrible. I'm so sorry." Mac put on a sad, sympathetic face.
"So how can I help you?"
"I was looking for something and now I don't know where I've gone."
"What were you looking for? Maybe I can help you find it."
"It's this heirloom. My mother gave it to me before she died. It's really important."
"Come. I'll help you find it."
"Thank you." Mac stepped back, leading Krennick out to the road.
Krennick walked back with Mac trying to find the necklace. While she was distracted, AJ and Harm headed inside to find Grace.
She wasn't in the kitchen or in the living room or in any of the rooms they could see until Harm saw a trap door. "Admiral."
"Go, I'm behind you."
Harm pulled open the door and found a flashlight. He felt along his way until he saw the chair. He put his arm on her shoulder and she flinched. "It's okay, Grace. It's us. You're safe." Harm removed the black hood and was relieved to find that she looked unhurt although she was tied up.
"Sweetie, are you okay?" AJ asked as they untied her and took her outside to the car.
"My head hurts." She was also seeing double.
"Did she hit you, Grace?" Harm asked, worried if she might have a concussion.
She shook her head. "I think it was the coffee."
"We need to get out of here. Where's Mac?"
"Take Grace in her car. We'll meet you there."
"I'm not leaving Mac with her."
"Oh, Lord, here we go again..."
"Their sisters, what do you expect?" AJ smiled. "Go interrupt them, pretend you're possessive if you have to."
He looked at Grace again that looked like she was having trouble standing upright. "I just hope I'm not too late." He took off in the way the girls had gone.
Mac saw Harm coming from the corner of her eye and started to shake. She was still pretending to be scared of him.
"Get away from her!" He directed at Krennick, not even having to pretend for this part. To Mac, he directed, "Baby, I'm so sorry. You know I can't live without you. I love you so much."
"Go away! You think I don't know the truth? You hurt her for pleasure?"
This, Harm got pissed about, thinking of Grace. "I never would hurt you, baby. You know that. You're the love of my life," he directed to Mac.
"I found your necklace." He held the necklace he'd found earlier that he'd always planned on giving her, a locket with a picture of their godchildren inside.
Mac finally smiled. "Do you promise?"
"Always, ninja girl."
"I love you."
"I love you too. C'mon, now. Come home."

"Grace is with A.J. at the car. Wouldn't leave without you," he whispered to her as he put his arms around her, trying to walk as fast as they could without being noticed as fast by Krennick, just wanting both girls out of there. He knew it wasn't over, not by a long shot.

"I don't know. She said Krennick didn't hit her, but she seems wobbly. Maybe some sort of drug."

"We should take her to the hospital. I don't like the way Krennick tried to manipulate me. I can only imagine what she did to Grace."

He walked with her, protecting her, grateful when they got back to the Admiral and Grace without incident, although he had a feeling that it was far from over.

"Careful," the admiral said softly, knowing it was pointless.
"I'll drive Grace's car if you want to take the girls to the hospital," Harm offered.
