Mac was so happy. She and Harm were finally going on a real date that night. She had made sure that nothing would disturb them, and had made sure to tell Bud that he was in charge that night, just so they could have some peace and quiet for once. She didn't expect someone would be crashing their date.

Harm was attentive, almost sweet, having genuine fun with his partner until she walked in. Aside from Singer and Brumby, his least favorite former coworker. Just seeing her made his blood run cold.

Harm didn't want to leave, didn't want Mac to think it was because of her, so he could just pray that 'dragon lady' as Meg used to call her didn't see him. "Nothing." He smiled for her.

He tried to discreetly indicate which one the 'dragon lady' was. "She worked with us when Meg was here. Made everyone miserable." To put it bluntly, but not exactly truthfully. She'd had a special way of making his life hell.
