Mac was in pain, and she knew it was time. She was scared though. Harm was flying and wouldn't be back for a while, she couldn't do it alone and didn't know what to do. Everyone looked up when Mac came out of her office. Grace and A.J. only knew that something was wrong, not what, but Harriet and Bud knew exactly what was going on.
"The boys are coming?" Harriet asked. She'd been so happy for her friend when she'd found out she was pregnant, even more so when it had been discovered to be twin boys.
"They can't! Harm isn't here."
"I'll see if I can get through to the ship. Bud, you take Mac and the girls to the hospital." He didn't want a repeat of when his first adopted grandson was born.
Mac trembled as she let Grace lead her out. Bud ran ahead to get the car pulled to the door as Grace and Harriet both tried to calm her.
"They'll let him come, right?"
Grace thought about telling her that Harm chose to fly, wasn't ordered to, but she knew it wasn't the time. "Of course."
Mac nodded. She didn't want to be alone.

A.J. was in his office, having ordered his yeoman to cancel all Mac and Harm's appointments for the next few weeks, cancel his, Bud's, Harriet's, and Grace's for the day. He was now trying to get patched through to the Seahawk, willing to strangle Harm, but knowing there'd been no way of knowing Mac would go into labor early.
"Seahawk, can we help you?"
"My name is Admiral A.J. Chegwidden. I need to be patched through to Harmon Rabb Jr ASAP."
"Sorry, but Commander Rabb is not on the ship right now. He's flying."
"Well, patch me through to his radio!"
"Is this urgent?"
A.J. roared. "You're damned right it is. Now do it now or I'll have you busted down to seaman!"
"Yes sir!" The guy that had answered quickly dialled Harm's radio.
"Rabb!"
"Harm, it's A.J. Mac's gone into labor. I don't care what it takes, let me know, just get here on the double."
"Labor? It's too early!"
"Grace, Harriet, and Bud took her to the hospital. Come home."
"I'll be there as soon as I can get back to the ship. Tell Mac I'm coming."
"Will do. Tell me if there's anything I can do from this angle."
"Have a chopper ready on the Seahawk that will take me to the hospital."
"Will do." He transferred back to the Seahawk and relayed his instructions.
"Got it!"
A.J. hung up and relayed the message that if anyone needed him, either Harm or the Seahawk, to send him the call to his cell phone.
"Of course Admiral." Tiner nodded.
A.J. took off quickly, knowing what hospital Mac would have used.

Mac sat in the hospital bed, clutching Grace's hand. She didn't know if AJ had gotten through to Harm yet, and she was getting very scared.
"It'll be okay, Sarah. A.J. will get Harm here and you'll be holding those beautiful babies."
"It's not time yet Grace, it's still early."
"A little, but you'll be okay. This is the best hospital in D.C., one of the best in the world. You'll be okay. The babies will be okay."
Mac nodded. "Stay with me?"
"Of course." She thanked Harriet when she brought the ice chips.
"What am I going to do if Harm isn't here when they come?"
"We'll get him on the phone or something. It'll be all right."
"Okay. How much longer?" This was directed at Harriet.
"It depends, honey. A.J. was double contractions, remember?" She wiped her forehead.
"I don't want to wait any longer. It hurts too much."
"Breathe, Sarah. You're not breathing," Grace said, rubbing her hand.
Mac did as Grace instructed, breathing deeply. She felt slightly calmer, and released Grace's hand a little.
