"You're welcome. And I meant it." Kensi had been through the same thing she had, to an extent. Having a parent murdered as a teen was indescribable, especially when they were as close to the parent as Kensi had been to her dad and herself to her mom. They had a tendency to be driven, focused, and hide away parts of themselves, but when Kensi looked at Deeks, KC didn't see that part of her friend so prominent. She'd learned to relax again, have fun again, something KC was having to teach herself for Alina's sake.
