She smiled her sunny, albeit tired, smile at him and walked into the room. Kaya was as close to Natalia as she could possibly get without hurting her and Lina and Ryan were standing together, Ryan holding a protective arm around his girlfriend.

"Sweetie, if Ryan or I went home, would you go with us?" Lina tried, knowing Natalia wasn't thrilled about Kaya hanging around the hospital, not that she didn't want her daughter with her, but because she wasn't sure it was a good place for Kaya to be.
