She nodded. "I promise." She was too weak to do much, but she'd seen Alexis fall apart and she'd seen the worried looks from the other. Her family had been through enough pain; she didn't want to add to it.

"I'm not scared for me, Rick. I'm scared for our family. I haven't seen Dad that upset since I was shot. I've never seen Alexis cry before. Martha looks like she's been struck and I just want to go home. I don't want to be here by myself." She was thinking about him saying he was going to take Alexis home. She knew he needed to be with his daughter, that Alexis needed to be home, but she didn't want them to leave.
