The hardest thing in the world for KC was to watch Callen go unprotected off with Sam, not that she really thought Sam would purposely hurt him, but because he had a blind spot when it came to Joelle.

Deeks was torn between defending the two girls and understanding where Callen was coming from. He put his partner first and could understand Callen feeling torn.
