"Sometimes things just don't have an easy fix, Kens." She sounded tired and more Hetty's age than her own.
"So? It isn't going to stop me."
"What would you rather I do, Kens? Deeks lied to protect me. Lied. I'm not an NCIS agent, but even I know that doesn't end well."
"Granger can get stuffed. I will not let anyone hurt my family."
"It's not Granger, Kens. It's Hetty and Sam. It's who I'm always fighting, only this time I'm tired of doing it."
"They can get lost too."
KC fell silent, knowing she wasn't going to win.
"Let me do the talking? Please?"
"Can I stop you?"
"No."
"Okay then."
"Thank you."
"Don't mention it."
Kensi grinned.
"I mean it."
"Mean what?"
"Don't mention it."
"Why?"
"Never mind."

They soon found themselves at the boatshed. KC knew it existed, of course, but had never seen it. The sight of Sam waiting there, judging her, was too much and she started towards him. Kensi ran after her, grabbing her arm to keep her from hitting Sam.
"You bastard! You unbelievable bastard!"
"KC!"
She struggled to get loose of Kensi. "Deeks saved your wife's life. How many times has Callen saved yours? You really hate me enough to hurt them?"
Kensi tightened her hold.
"Answer me, damn it!"
Sam smirked. "I didn't do anything. You on the other hand..."
"You know the truth, Sam. Either that or you're a shitty NCIS agent and I don't believe that. You and Hetty both know the truth. So why don't you grow a pair and get your own life and leave my family the hell alone!"
"Family? You mean that stupid little thing that never stops crying? Or are you talking about your supposed best friend?"
Kensi swore under her breath. "Shut the hell up!"
There was no power on earth that could keep Kensi's hold on her after that one. KC lit into him like a barn fire. Kensi let her go and joined in the attack, wanting Sam dead too. Granger took Kensi and Deeks took KC while Callen joined in on helping the girls instead of restraining them, Alina in her carrier on a desk.
"Let go Granger!"

"Sam, get the hell out of here," Deeks yelled, although every bone in his body was wanting to help the girls and Callen. He was have a hard time holding KC back and knew Granger wouldn't be able to hold Kensi much longer either.

It was hard to tell who was more shocked and KC stopped struggling at the same time that Granger let Kensi go.
