Calleigh hung up and went looking for Eric. "Hey, that was H on the phone. The girls are staying at the hospital overnight. Something about being kidnapped from the scene and ending up in water."

"I think Kaya might need the company."
"Okay." He was on the phone with Tripp, trying to figure out what had happened.
Calleigh called her daughter out to the kitchen.
The little girl toddled in at top speed.
"Baby, KK will be here for a sleepover soon. Do you want to sleep in the same room as her?"
"My KK."
"Yeah baby girl. Your KK."
"No sleep."
"Yes sleep."
"Go see KK. No sleep."
"KK is coming here. You are both sleeping."
Mari looked doubtful. "Mind your mama, baby girl." Eric kissed her head. "I need to go in."
"Be careful."
"love my girls." He kissed her cheek and left.
"Alright baby. Let's set up the sleeping bags."
"KK."
"Daddy is going to get KK."
the little girl nodded.

Calleigh went to get her keys, then called Mari to put a jacket on. "Let's go pick up KK."

She did as her mom told her, singing happily to herself as she rode in her seat.

Calleigh would have gladly killed the neighbor when she realized the woman was nowhere around. "It's okay, honey." She sat beside the little girl.
"Mummy," she whispered.
"Mari and I will take you up to see her."
"Thank you."
Calleigh stood, her hand out to Kaya. Kaya took her hand, and Mari's, then followed her aunt out.
Horatio smiled at his other three favorite girls when they entered the room.
"Daddy," said Kaya through tears.
"Hey, baby girl. Come here."
"Is mum okay?"
"She's just resting, sweetheart."
"Lina?"
He hesitated. "They'll be okay."
"I want to see them."
He nodded, taking her hand in his. "Calleigh?"
"We'll wait out here." She sensed Kaya might need a moment alone with her family.
"KK? Where KK go?" asked Mari.
"To see her mommy."
"She come back?"
"Yeah, she and Poppy are coming back."
"K." Mari hugged Calleigh and then started to run around the waiting room.
Natalia smiled when Kaya approached. "Hi, sweetheart."
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Just a little tired."
"Are you coming home?"
"Tomorrow. You're going to sleep over with Calleigh and Mari tonight."
"Can I stay here?"
"You like staying with Mari."
"Yeah,"
"And we'll be home tomorrow."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
"Okay. I love you mummy."
"Love you, baby."
"See you tomorrow."
Natalia kissed her daughter's cheek. Kaya followed her dad to the nest room, and almost bounded over to Lina.
"Hey, kid," Ryan said softly, his eyes worried and tired.
"Lina?"
"Careful, sweetheart." Ryan told Kaya even as he helped her get close to her sister.
"Lina? Are you okay?"
"Yeah, baby. I'm okay." It was obvious Lina was sick, running a fever and her voice was tired.
"Promise?" Kaya felt like crying.
"Promise."
"Ryan, she's lying."
"I know that, honey. You're not supposed to know that." Ryan told her.
"Why is she lying?"
"She's stubborn." He gave a half smile to Horatio.
"I'm staying here."
"You need to go with Mari and have fun, K," Ryan tried.
"No."
"Why not, sweetheart?" Horatio asked, trying to reason with her.
"Cause I have to stay with Lina."
"I'll stay with Lina, honey." Ryan tried.
"Please?"
"Baby...why do you want to hang...here?" Lina asked. "Your mom and I are tryin to get out...and you're tryin to get in," she teased slightly.
"You have to stay."
"I know. So go have fun. Go play."
"Okay..."
"Love you." Lina whispered to her.
"I'll see you tomorrow, KK," Ryan told her, giving her a hug.
"Bye."
Horatio walked back out with her. "They're working on lowering Lina's fever. That's why she seems to strange."
"Is she going to get better?"
"She'll be better by tomorrow."
"Can I come back?"
"Yeah, your mom's supposed to go home tomorrow. Calleigh's supposed to bring you back then."
"Okay. I love you daddy."
"I love you, sweetheart. Can you see if you can calm Mari down so I can talk to Calleigh?"
Kaya nodded and ran to the little girl. Calleigh looked at Horatio.
