"Yeah, sweetie, as long as your doctor signs off on it." She paused. "Do you want to pick up Ali on the way or do you want Deeks to get her?"

"We can get her. Deeks said I can stay with him. You have a child to look after, I don't want to make extra work for you."

"Honey, it's you. You're never extra work. But if you need some alone time with Deeks, then I get it."

"Alone time? That can wait. I want to be with my friend."

"Okay. If you're sure."

Kensi smiled. "And I want to play with Ali so much right now." She stopped talking for a moment and frowned. "Is it okay if I play with her?" she asked quietly.

"Of course, sweetie. Why wouldn't it be?"

She shrugged. "Just checking. I don't want you to worry about her while I have her."

"Kens, that is one of the times I never worry about her, when you and Deeks have her."

"Absolutely. I left her with you and Deeks when I went overseas last time."

"Afghanistan? Deeks said we went there to bring you home."

"Did...Did he tell you anything else?"

"Nope. He said I went there too, our boss sent me there."
"Hetty. Yeah."
She was grateful that Deeks hadn't told Kensi about her injuries.
"Deeks doesn't like her."
"He has his reasons."
She paused. "You found Jack in Afghanistan."
"Who's Jack?"
"An old boyfriend. It doesn't matter, Kens."
"Oh. Did Deeks meet him?"
"Yeah, honey. Twice."
"Poor thing. He must feel hurt."
"The reason you were over in Afghanistan was that Hetty used your past to recover your ex boyfriend. Deeks is angry that you were used, that he couldn't protect you. I don't think he's hurt."
"Oh, no wonder he hates her."
"He doesn't hate her. Hetty's impossible to hate, even for me. But he resents that time."
"I want to fix it. Can you help me fix it?
"Sweetheart, I would do anything in the world for you, you know that but Hetty feels about me about the same as Deeks feels about her."
"That's not fair. You are lovable."
"Yeah, but she's the only family G has. You've heard of the stereotypical mother-in-law, right? That's Hetty. No one's good enough for Callen."
"You love Callen?"
"As much..." She stopped. "Yeah. I really do."
"Then Hetty can shut her mouth and leave you alone."
"Yeah, it's safe to say you don't remember Hetty," KC said with a smile.
"What?"
"Nothing."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah."
"Okay. Can we go home now?"
"I think Deeks went to get your papers ready."
Kensi nodded. "Cool."
"Do you have any questions?"
"Will you let me help out at home?"
"If you feel up to it."
"Thank you."
"Will I ever get my memory back?"
"I think so."
Kensi nodded. "Okay."
Julia came to the doorway. "Are you girls okay in here?"
"Yeah. KC said I can stay with her. And I get to play with Ali too."
"If that's what you want, sweetheart, and, KC, are you sure you feel up to it?"
KC frowned. "Of course, Julia. And you're welcome to come too. Ali would love to see her JuJu again."
"Yeah, come too mum."
Julia nodded, glad that KC wasn't going to try to do it all herself. Kensi smiled happily, but then she saw Deeks. Her grin widened.
"Ready to go home, darlin'?"
"Yes. I'm staying with KC. Will you come and visit?"
"He'll stay with us."
"You don't mind?" He asked, trying not to smile as she rolled her eyes in response.
"Really? Thank you KC!"
Kensi hugged her friend. KC hugged her back, helping Deeks move Kensi to the wheelchair.
"I can walk."
"Hospital rules, sweetheart," Julia told her.
"Fine."
"Does she still have clothes at the house?" Julia asked KC.
"Yeah, in her room."
"My room? You still have it?@
"KC moved to LA after Afghanistan, Kens." Deeks told her. "There's a room you use when you...stay over. When I stay over too, you stay with her or I stay on the couch." In fact, Kensi, KC, and Alina had claimed the bedrooms and the men got shuffled from place to place, depending on who slept over.
"So you live near me now?" Kensi didn't think she could get any happier.
"Yeah, closer anyway."
"Cool. Can we go then?"
They moved Kensi into KC's "mom car".
"Bye guys."
"Wait. I'm coming with you. I got a ride with Sam and Callen." Deeks told her, sliding in the front passenger seat.
"Okay."
"I'll see you there." Julia said, going to her own vehicle.
"Are we still picking up my angel?"
"Our angel. And yes." KC said with a smile.
"My angel. She's so sweet. Can we stop at the shop? I want to get her a present."
"Kensi..." Deeks started, not believing this.
"Deeks, you're not going to reason with her and she's not going to spoil her because she already is. You can't even blame it on Aunt Kensi. Daddy and Uncle Deeks are just as guilty. Juju and Uncle Sam are gaining on you too."
"Not you?" He questioned, trying to hide a smile.
"Never." She knew the truth. She tried to make up for the time she'd been gone, although she knew it wasn't necessary.
"Fine. I'll spoil her with hugs and kisses."
She pulled up at a house that was familiar to Deeks, but he wasn't sure if she would remember it or the lady out front holding Ali. "Hey, Michelle. Thanks so much for watching her."
"Anytime. She's a princess."
